Welcome to Refuge Christian Ministries International
Refuge Christian Ministries International's theme is: "Training Pastors & Leaders...Giving Hope to the Hopeless!" In the first 10 years of our ministry, our focus was on the 4-14 Window (children). While children still are the heart of our ministry, we also minister in many other ways, as you will see as you travel through this website. Refuge CMI accomplishes this great task in a number of ways including sharing the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ while providing outreach to the needy and training national workers to teach, preach, and help their own people more effectively. This is done with direct hands on ministry and through partnerships with other ministries and organizations; both here and around the world. All of this happens through the prayers and financial support of those who believe in what we are doing for the Kingdom of God around the world. Thank you for your support!

HOME MISSIONS (USA)
Refuge Christian Ministries International provides training on reaching lost friends and neighbors through a workshop called "Out of Our Seats and Into His Streets...While We Still Have Time!", ST Mission Team workshops on how to be effective on the mission field and how to prepare to go, a Spiritual Giftings Profile workshop, and local outreaches & festivals.
In 2013-2014 we are planning to lead teams to Indian Reservations in the Southwest, and to the Appalachian Mountain area where poverty is prevalent. If you are interested in participating in either of these short-term mission trips, please contact us to tell us of your interest and we will send you an application.
Starting in 2013 (our 10th Anniversary Year) our primary focus is training indigenous pastors and workers to be more effective in their churches and ministries. We will continue to focus on the 4-14 window and humanitarian activities. However, they will be secondary to the training of indigenous pastors and workers.
NATIONS WE MINISTER IN ON A REGULAR BASIS:
Belize -- Haiti -- Dominican Republic -- Jamaica -- Puerto Rico -- Guatemala
We have participated in crusades; ministry outreaches; provided pastors' seminars; and Bible School training in Mexico, Kenya and Haiti. Of these, Pastors' Seminars and Bible School training will be primary in 2013 and beyond.
OTHER OUTREACH ACTIVITIES:
We have participated in feeding programs for street children and orphans; sponsorship programs for orphans, widows and indigenous pastors in Kenya, Haiti and the nations listed above; provided equipment and supplies for orphanages; and provided bicycles for pastors and church leaders. We also collect children's clothes and medical supplies which we send to Haiti and Mexico. These activities will continue as the Lord provides.
What Keeps Us Going?
When we see a family blessed by a box of groceries and the relief in their faces, it makes it worth it. When we see a smiling face like the one here of a little Haitian boy attending a feeding program in NW Haiti at www.nwhcm.org , it makes it worth it.
When we see the hand of God touch a life with healing or salvation, it makes it worth it. Those are the things that keep us going, along with the faithful, ongoing support of you our friends who make doing all this possible. On behalf of the many we have been able to help and minister to over the years with your help, let me say a great big THANK YOU and God bless you!
Why do we go to the nations of Central America and the Caribbean Nations? This video by Don Moen says it best:
"Without the generous support of Refuge Christian Ministries International and its supporters, I don't know how we would have coped during those difficult times." -- a beneficiary of RCMI assistance
