Welcome to Refuge Christian Ministries International
Refuge Christian Ministries International's theme is: "Sharing the love of Jesus with the children of the world!" While children are the heart of our ministry, we also minister in many other ways, as you will see as you travel through this website. Refuge CMI accomplishes this great task in a number of ways including sharing the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, providing outreach to the needy, and training national workers to teach, preach, and help their own people more effectively. This is done with direct hands on ministry and through partnerships with other ministries and organizations; both here and around the world. All of this happens through the prayers and financial support of those who believe in what we are doing for the Kingdom of God around the world. Thank you for your support!

WHAT WE DO
HOME MISSIONS (USA):
Refuge Christian Ministries International provides training so that Christians can learn how to be effective in reaching their lost friends and neighbors, church ministry workshops, ST Mission Team workshops on how to be effective on the mission field, and a Spiritual Giftings Profile workshop. Recently we added a workshop called Improving Your Health by Controlling Your Motivations. Maintaining your physical health is so essential to being effective in your family, your church, your career, your ministry and your community. In the U.S. we also provide pulpit fill-ins.
In 2013 we are planning to lead teams to indian reservations in the Southwest, and to the Appalachian Mountain area were poverty is prevalent. If you are interested in participating in either of these short-term mission trips, please contact us to tell us of your interest and we will send you an application.
Starting in 2013 (our 10th Anniversary Year) our primary focus is training of national pastors and workers to be more effective in their studies and ministry. We will continue to focus on the 4-14 window, even in the training I just mentioned; and humanitarian activities. However, they will be secondary to the training of national pastors and workers. There will be more detail about this in the next few months.
We have participated in crusades in Kenya & Mexico; ministry outreach in Kenya, Mexico, Belize, and Haiti; provided pastors' seminars in Kenya; and did Bible School training in Kenya and Haiti. Of these, Pastors' Seminars and Bible School teaching will be primary in 2013 and beyond.
In the past we funded a water project at an orphanage in Kenya, constructed an 16' by 38' platform at a tabernacle in Naco, Sonora Mexico, assisted with various construction projects at an orphanage in Guaymas, Sonora Mexico, helped complete construction on a missionary's home in Belize, and assisted in construction projects in Haiti. We will still open up ST trips that include construction when the missionaries on the field request this service.
We have provided first aid classes and exams at an orphange in Kenya, and assisted with various medical functions in Haiti. Our ST trips to NW Haiti will still include any medical people who wish to touch lives this way.
OTHER OUTREACH ACTIVITIES:
We participate in feeding programs for street children and orphans; sponsorship programs for orphans, widows and native pastors in Kenya, Haiti and Mexico; provided equipment and supplies for orphanages; and provided bicycles for pastors and church leaders. We also collect children's clothes and medical supplies which we send to Haiti and Mexico. These activities will continue on an as needed basis.

What Keeps Us Going?
When we see a family blessed by a box of groceries and the relief in their faces, it makes it worth it. When we see a smiling face like the one here of a little Haitian boy attending a feeding program in NW Haiti www.nwhcm.org , it makes it worth it. When we see the hand of God touch a life with healing or salvation, it makes it worth it. Those are the things that keep us going, along with the faithful, ongoing support of you our friends who make doing all this possible. On behalf of the many we have been able to help and minister to over the years with your help, let me say a great big THANK YOU and God bless you!
"Without the generous support of Refuge Christian Ministries International and its supporters, I don't know how we would have coped during those difficult times."
