Refuge CMI provides valuable training opportunities here in the USA and on the mission field.  Below are the courses we offer for those wishing to be more effective ministers in their local church in the USA and to prepare for the mission field.  Also listed below are courses we offer for indigenous pastors and workers on the mission field to help them be more effective in leading their congregations in spreading the Good News.

TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES - U.S.

"Discover Your Giftedness"

Everyone is divinely designed!  The Bible tells us we are  fearfully and wonderfully made," Psalms 139:14.  Everyone is gifted with a certain way of thinking, feeling and acting unique to them.  You are a gifted individual!  Each of us has a unique personality that make us special.  As we learn what our primary personality characteristics are, we can better related to our spouse, our family, our co-workers, and our church family.  Your effectiveness in all areas of your life, including your ministry, will increase. 

Then as you learn which spiritual ministry gifts you have been blessed with, and how they are connected to your primary personality style, you will be able to more effectivly minister in the areas of ministry God has called you to.

This 6 hour workshop will provide you with the insights to accomplish these things in your life, ministry and family.

"Preparing For the Mission Field"

This 4 hour video training workshop is key to preparing you for the mission field.  There are many things you should never do when visiting another culture as a missionary.  This workshop covers this and many other issues important to the short-term and long-term missionary.

"Witnessing Effectively To Cult Members"

The cults are very diligent (much more so than Christians) in trying to get you to accept their false doctrines.  They spend many hours going door to door trying to confuse the people of God into coming into their fold.  This 6 hour workshop gives you an overview of what each cult believes, and how to effectively share with them the true gospel of Jesus Christ.

"Reaching Your World"

What do I need to know in order to be an effective witness for Jesus Christ to my friends, neighbors and family?  This 2 hour workshop will give you some of the effective methods you can learn to be an effective witness for Christ every day.  We also cover the non-verbal witness.

"The Tabernacle:  Its Furnishings, Its Symbolism"

There are many symbols in the tabernacle that point to many aspects of the Christian faith.  This 4 hour workshop covers the construction of the tabernacle, the furnishings of the tabernacle, the sacrificial processes of the tabernacle, and many other aspects of God's dwelling place during the wilderness wanderings of God's chosen people.

"Effective Church Leadership"

There are certain aspects and characteristics of an effective leader in any organization or company.  This is also just as true in the ministries in which we serve.  If you  are a ministry leader, or aspire to be one, this 6 hour workshop will give you the tools and skills to develop to be an effective leader where God has called you.

"Improving Your Health...Motivations"

God has blessed us with amazing bodies that have the ability to withstand a lot of abuse from us and our environment.  However, there truly is a limit to what it can handle.  When the garbage accumulates faster than it can be removed, your body starts to malfunction.  What are some things we can do to reverse that trend?  This 4 hour workshop covers our motivation to be healthy, the food we eat, the toxic home (most homes have more toxins in the air than the outdoors), effective supplementation, and other topics.

"Job Interviewing & Resume Writing Skills"

In this day of unemployment and economy issues, it is helpful to have the best resume we can write, and know how best to handle ourselves and sell our skills at the interview.

MISSION FIELD TRAINING

What the Cults Teach

The cults are not just here in the U.S.  They are also in the countries we visit teaching their false doctrines and causing confusion as well.  This workshop is for indigenous pastors and leaders to help them understand their teachings and how to protect their people from these false doctrines.

Effective Church Leadership

What does effective church leadership look like in Haiti, Kenya, etc?  This pastor's workshop covers effective leadership for the pastor, and also, how to recognize the leaders in their churches, and train them to be effective leaders in their church.

Ministry Integrity

Integrity is important in the world system, and even more so in the Church.  In America we have seen many ministries flounder and even fail due to lack of integrity.  It is important to be aware of certain areas that can trip up a minsitry or church and this workshop provides those insights to the indigenous ministry.  Areas covered include finances, the pastor's/leader's marriage, staff conflicts. etc.

The Thread of Redemption In the Bible

From Genesis through Revelation, God shows His plan for our redemption.  This workshop traces the scarlet thread of redemption imparted to mankind by a loving Heavenly Father.

James:  Living Victoriously In Faith

James provides valuable insights in how to live the Christian life above the circumstances we find ourselves in.
