FORERUNNERS OUTREACH MINISTRIES

Refuge CMI is partnering with a local ministry called Forerunners Outreach Ministries.  We have discussed ideas in the past for reaching out in greater ways in our local community. Recently we have been looking at our ministry resources and how we might be able to share them with a local ministry who is reaching out to the down and out in our community. After meeting with the Williams who lead the Forerunners Outreach Ministry, we feel it will be a good match in partnering with them to reach the homeless and less fortunate in the Sierra Vista area.  There will be much more information on this page in the near future as we formulate plans for the future of this partnership in ministry.

FORERUNNERS VISION/PURPOSE

To minister in impoverished and crime neighborhoods and to the homeless. "Preaching the good news to the poor, to heal the brokenhearted, proclaim liberty to those who are captive, opening the prison of those who are bound, and to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord." (Isaiah 61:1,2). So that many will receive salvation; they will in turn be trained to reach out to others with the message of hope and salvation, multiplying the number of those entering and advancing the kingdom of God.

...what the Spirit of God is saying. "Let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us."

PRAY! We pray for an increase in united evangelism and ministries of compassion in our city. We pray for leaders, pastors, and local churches to join us in times of corporate prayer and evangelism. "LORD HEAL OUR LAND" Join us! A prayer compaign/rally. 2 Chronicles 7:14 "If My people, which are called by My name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, THEN I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." 1 Peter 4:17 "The time for judgement begins at the house of God."

Sunday - 10:00 - Attending Great Praise/Worship/Word at Shiloh Christian Ministry.

Every third Sunday - 2:30 p.m. - Homeless Meal Outreach with Potters hands at Veterans Memorial Park.

Monday - Day of Rest

Tuesday - Bible Lesson/Training - 6:00 p.m.

Wednesday - Flexible/Outreach

Thursday - Prayer/Fellowship - 6:00 p.m.

Friday - Flexible/Outreach Saturday - Community Outreach - 11:00 a.m.

Every first Saturday of the month - 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. - "Voice in the Wilderness" Outreach/Fellowship at Veterans Memorial Park (Cove area).
